August 11, 2021
The Day We Met
This was Ben's first day at Planet Smoothie. Around 11 AM, Rachel walked in, and I guess you could say it was love at first sight. We spent the next few hours slinging smoothies and peeling bananas, but the most significant part of that day was certainly meeting the love of our lives.
September 6, 2021
The Day We Started Dating
After Rachel traded into all Ben's Planet Smoothie training shifts, he finally mustered the courage to ask Rachel out on what would end up being a week of mini dates. Monday Movie Night with Kung Fu Panda 2 and Bo Burnham's Inside. Tuesday working at Planet Smoothie together. Wednesday was our first "real" date at Bling Pig, followed by two more shifts together at Planet Smoothie. We were immediately inseparable.
Fall 2021
Meeting Family
We kept busy in October, meeting most of each other's families. We went all over creation (North Georgia), with Ben meeting Rachel's mom at Marietta Chalkfest on October 9, Rachel meeting Ben's parents and Susie at a UGA tailgate on October 16, and Ben meeting Rachel's dad and Bonnie for dinner at Fusco's. Shortly after, Rachel met the rest of the Albright troupe, and many Davis's, at Susie's first graduation in December.
Summer 2022
Ben & Rachel UK Summer Pt. 1
This was our first big trip together. Rachel was getting ready to spend 6 weeks studying at Oxford University, and Ben was happy to join for a 9 day vacation abroad before the program started. We spent a little over a week bouncing between London, Bath, and Bristol, and Rachel met Allie over some decadent Creams concoctions.
Octobers
Halloween Hosts
Every year, we love to host a Halloween costume party. Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. Yzma and Kronk. Limu Emu and Doug. John Cena and Hulk Hogan. Dodgeball. We LOVE a good costume and partying with friends.
Novembers
Beers & 'Fests
Whether it's Acworth Beerfest or Oktoberfest in Helen, we always seem to end up downing a few brews during November. It's a great time to get together for a weekend of "hydration", and it's been great to add more people to the group every year. From here on out, the dirndl's and lederhosen are mandatory.
Decembers
Christmas in Sevierville
Every other year we love to go up to Sevierville around Christmas-time to visit family. Rachel loves hitting all the rides at Dollywood, and Ben says every year is his year to get cowboy boots on the strip in Pigeon Forge. But the best part is always spending time with the Davis's.

Weddings of Family & Friends
We're lucky to have been invited to weddings for our friends and family. We always love the celebrations, and we can't wait for you all to be a part of ours.

We Got Cats
Probably the best birthday present Ben has thought of. The day before Rachel's birthday, we went to Etowah Humane Society "just to look" at two cats we had been stalking on the website. Years later, we're so glad we welcomed our sweet ladies, Lemon and Honey, to our little family.
July 2025
Ben & Rachel UK Summer Pt. 2
This time visiting for Allie's graduation, Ben and Rachel spent a week in Scotland full of art galleries, museums, a boat tour on Loch Ness, and a showing of Harry Potter with a live orchestra in Edinburgh Castle. After that, we took the train down to Bath to meet up with everyone else for Allie's Doctorate graduation. At this point people were asking "When are you going to propose?" in basically every conversation, but Ben had a plan that would soon be set in motion.
November 22, 2025
The Proposal
On Thursday, Ben drove up to Raleigh to spend a long weekend with one of his old roommates, Brett, but behind the scenes, he was planning a surprise proposal. After the Dijon concert on Friday, Ben secretly drove back to surprise Rachel after work with a backyard proposal at her Mom's house. After everyone pitched in to help set up, Rachel went outside to "let the dog in" before dinner, but all she saw out there was Ben. The rest is history.
April 25, 2026
The Big Move
In mid-February, Ben got a great new job opportunity in Charleston, South Carolina. Within weeks, we packed up our lives and moved 6 hours east, but so far, life on the beach has been amazing. We both started new jobs in new fields, and the cats are loving the palm trees and sea breeze. A lot has changed in the last six months, but we're excited to be moving into the next new chapter together.

The Wedding
We are so excited to get married at the Georgian Hall in Athens, the place we first met. We can't wait to see you all and celebrate together!
